Sick of tournies

Kinda sick of tournys, its no fun when I grind so much only to loose a big coin flip deep, this happened like 6 times yesterday and I didnt win once. Dont think I am gonna lpay tournys till Saturday, instead I am looking to play sngs and step tournies. I have done reltively well in sngs and won a seat to step 6 yesterday. Sngs are fun since I can experiment a bit too.
College work, cleaning my apt and accounts are still in progress...

10k cash on Sunday

Came 5th in 100r for a 10k cash (cud hv been better etc etc). I am satisfied with my sunday performance, didnt make too many mistakes but def cud hv played better.

My good frnd cdbr and I had last longers in all common tournies, which I am glad to say I won 6-2 (ship 800$$$$$), he thinks he is huge +ev against me in LL but I hv won it two weeks in a row against him and hopfeully he doesnt quit me (+ev my ass).

Weekend was fun, I was in NY meeting up with Maridu and Daut, was good times, I cant believe tht I hv been to NY twice in 4 yrs despite living in philly.....man I am lazy :(

break from poker...

Sorry for the lack of updates, I hv just been very lazy ever since I got back to US. I went to visit cdbr and Carter this weekend in South Carolina and was awesome fun. I liked it a lot there and might go back in few weeks for a longer period, we played most sunday tournies (I cudnt play all of them, since I was playing on my laptop) and we had 200$ LL on all common tournies, which I was able to win 3-2, ship 200$ (so sweet winnign $$ from cdbr). I also won 600$ in beer pong betting against Carter, when my team won on tripple overtime (we kept increasing the bet every overtime), obv sickest beer pong game ever!
I had a decent sunday, I came 8th in 100r and 13th in 200r and 32nd in ngihtly 100r, so I made a small profit for the day, but could have been huge.
This week I am not playing, I have ton loads of work to do (things pile up, when u do nothing but sit around for 2 weeks). I have to get my apt cleaned (its a mess), do poker accts (I hv no idea how I hv done last 1 mnth, so got to finish accts), have to goto classes and catch up (veyr light college workload but still need to catch up), spent time with frnds and this weekend I hv to visit family in New Jersey. But def will play Sunday and will also post my stats for the past mnth when I am done with my poker accts.

Finally broke my cold streak by chopping the nightly 100r on Tuesday. I usually dont chop, but 3 handed we were all friends so this was an easy chop. I got 27.9k for my efforts, which right now seems like a huge score and I am definitely happy :)
I am heading back to Philadelphia in few hrs where the plan for next 3 mnths is to finish up college (one time!!, please let me not fail any of my classes =p) and break into top 15 of the p5 rankings. In my peak I was at 17th but I hv fallen a lot and am ranked 35th as of now, but I am excited to be back in philly, since I hv beent ravelling alst 3 mnths(vegas, india, manila, europe) I hv realised I play best when in philly, I hv just gotten very used to the enviroment there and am def looking foward to go back to me winning 2-3 tournies a week.
Next poker day will be Saturday, will post tourny schedule for the weekend once I reach Philly.

Dissapointing Sunday

I played really well, probably the best I hv played on a Sunday in a long time. Just cudnt final table anything, I did take 20th in 100r and 21st in 200r. I played all the tournies except for the mulligan (mini tilt after busting the 100r, so decided to cut down a bit on new tourneis), its just suprising how bad people play on Sundays, I am def looking for a big Sunday score sometime in the near future. I am really happy with the way I am playing right now, good rhythm and playing consistent. I feel like my old self again and I just love the 100r after hating it for a long time, so thts good. The one thing I need to work is on my stamina, I get tired after 8-9 hrs of playing and thts usually when I quit, but I hv noticed tht mny of the top pros hv no problem playing 14-16hrs, I need to be able to do tht, esp sicne the wcoop ME is going to be around 22hrs long!
Playing the 1k and 100r today, I like 2 tabling and watching a movie on the side than 9 tabling =p

I completely blew the 100r last night, I mean blew it so bad tht it had me shaking like on Sunday when I blew the million. I am very very determined now to play my best and keep my composure, I am a good closer and need to make the most of my opportunites when I go deep. Its been forever since I won something, but I hvnt lost faith in myself, just matter of time, like I always tell my frnds-one good day changes everything.

Hopefully tomorrow my bad run ends and I can hopefully be collecting some $$$ (thts euros in the pic though)

Its dissapointing, but why should I be sad? Life is good and it can only get better.
I was shortstacked for the earl part, but the play was ver loose and I felt I cud pick up some good spots, players were jsut terrible and I felt an easy dbl if I picked up a hand. I believe the commentators on the ept broadcast felt tht I ws too tight and was waiting too long (thts why they are in the commentary booth and not on the table), I finally got some good spots and each time I dbled and before I knew it I was top 5 with 340k. They were some interesting hands, but I am not a big fan of discussing hands and my thought process, but I did hv an idea on who was playing how and played accordingly. I am not at all unhappy with the way I got out, I went with my gut and everthing I do is pre decided, so when I had TT I had already decided wat wud happen if I got re raised by the people behind me (it was a money bubble 8k euros, I ended up running my TT into QQ, but no regrets, if Sorel says I played it right, I really dont care who else says anything. 15th isnt bad, but I was 14 away from life changing money....it will happen I know, this was a gr8 experience, guess I wont be nervous playing online anymore since the money aint as big as this one (boy was I shaking....but it didnt affect my play one bit)

in Manila and I hate online!

So the Manila Main event starts in like 5 hrs, the casino and the poker room is absolutely amazing and must give kudos to pokerstars for organising such a fabulous event. The whole ambiance and environment is just amazing and I can hardly wait to go and play today. The field is 95% Asian with players from china, japan and Korea, along with some locals....I am surprised to see how big poker is in Asia, I means its just shocking to see the action and the enthusiasm here, wud never expect this besides in US and Europe, just matter of time before poker really explodes here. As far as the quality of play is concerned, from what I have played with them in the side action they seem aggro but very inexperienced and am really banking on them having little knowledge of tournament strategy to exploit them in later stages.
I played some side action yesterday, the biggest game they had was 100-200 so I decided to play it, the games was juicy and soft but somehow I was stuck 22k, however I was able to break even and make a profit of 15k (although I wasn't happy being stuck 20k)....I played for like 5 hrs and it was fun, oh btw it was pesos and not dollars :)
Most of the PokerStar sponsored players are here including Negreaunu, Hachem, Vanessa Russo and few more, there are some good European and Australian players as well, so really the field is not exactly very soft, but its still relatively much softer than most online tourneys. I hate online, I cant even explain how bad I hv been running...although I hv been playing pretty well so I am happy, but alksjdlaskjdaslkdjasd its badd.
I am really looking forward to Barcelona and my vacation in Amsterdam after I am done here, although not playing last 2 days online hv already recharged my batteries.

Navigating big fields and Euro trip

It been frustrating but I am still positive about getting a big score. We are at such a situation in the plb bet that unless we get a big score its a lost cause. I have had quite a few opportunities as you can see above and even closing on one of them would have been huge, but tournament poker is all about patience. Eventually, I'll get my dues and am not gonna get disheartened yet....

I hv my trip almost planned out, I will be travelling to Manila on the 22nd. The idea is to go and travel around a bit before the tournament starts on the 24th. Hopefully I will be in it for all the 3 days 24, 25 and 26th, if not, I plan to relax and not play poker outside of the tournament. The event shud be huge and seems it might even be sold out, I am really hungry for some live success and really think this could be the one.
On the 27th I am flying to Barcelona for the EPT. I will playing on Day 2b so that the 29th. I hv hotel confirmations in Barcelona from 27th till 2nd Sept I believe. After Barcelona I hv decided to stay an additional week in Europe and just relax, that's right no poker, just sight see, sleep and have fun! Some of my friends are coming down for the event and we are planning to rent a car and drive around Europe....not exactly sure at this point where all we will be going but we are def 100% going to Amsterdam fro a few days. I am really excited about this trip, sicne I really need a vacation and I hv never ever travelled to Europe. I am really pumped about this trip!

As far as the plb challenge goes I hv 3rd in 30r, 8th in UB 120 (kk vs AA) and 5 in 200 Turbo on tilt, this is since my last post....nothing worthy at all and the volume I am playing is just beyond insane, no sleep no rest no social life...F poker. SIgh!! still will grind it out all this mnth....Winning wud be nice, need my confidence back :(
The only win I had was a seat to ept barcelona (more on tht later) 12k package though....thts somethign to smile about :)

day 1 and 2

THis is sick....people are going nutzo playing evrything. I myself for the 1at time 9 tabled for approzimately 8 hrs....played well on day 1, played like shit on day 2.
Our team has one score so far, I won a 200 turbo at fulltilt and will recieve around 170-190 pts (not sure exactly how much). Our goal is t get 12 similar scores by AUg 10th...veyr very difficult especially since I played a gazillion tournies on day 2 and didnt cash in 1...yep thts right not one cash.
Tomorrow new day and then weekend coming, I know Sorel will kill it.....I just need some more solid results to keep the team at the top. They are developing a website I believe for everyone to follow this competition witht he latest reults.....tht shud be veyr helpful towards the last part, but will be also be ncie to know where u stand.

August PLB challenge..

Its gonna be a sick mnth in August, Sorel and I hv joined a plb challenge (2k$ a team) with 17 teams taking part in it. The pool consists of some of the best players on the internet and its going to be a real real long mnth, basically by joining this I hv decided tht I wont be hiving a life outside of poker for the next mnth, unless ofcourse I get some real good scores early. With me missing a few days for Manila Appt its even more important I get some good scores early on since it is a team event and a lot will depend on my results, since I am sure Sorel will be running things over as always. I am getting a new set up for this challenge, which includes a 30' lcd monitor, new desk and chair (since I am in India, I dont hv the same set up as in Philly). I would like to come and post results here everyday since I am estimating a total of 20-25 tournies a day (micro donkaments inlcuded...sigh!), but I hv known to be lazy about posting, however I will be trying to do it.

Recent happenings...

Well, not too much going on here, besides me waking up in the middle of the night almost everyday to play some pokah. It kinda sucks being in a different time zone, but its matter of couple of more mnths and it is really good to be home so I shouldn't complain too much.
Had a decent score on Sunday when I took 2nd in 100r for 23k...finally a decent score after a relatively lean period (although i did hv some mid 4kish score at mansion and absolute). The plan is to work on my game as much as I can and be ready for the FTOP and Manila APPT next month. I like the way my game is developing, I owe a lot of it to Sorel, he is really taking a lot of pain to taking me from a common cold to influenza but these transitions don't happen overnight and I am working as hard as I can to improve my game, since in reality I do have numerous leaks which are slowly getting plugged.
In other news, I am planning to go to ept Barcelona, but it all depends on how I do in the next few weeks...no definite plans yet.

Home Sweet home :)

I would like to start by thanking all the support I got during the wsop, especially the Main event, as most of u know I survived 3 days and eventually busted 450th for 29,883$. It was devastating to get eliminated but I am happy with my performance, after all I survived 4 hrs the last time I played the main event so this yr its been a huge improvement and next yr I am sure it will be better.I really dont want to discuss any hands from the last day at wsop (its too heartbreaking) but my bustout hand was my AQ vs QQ on a 8 T J flop for an avg stack pot.....I made a move on early position raiser and basically it can be assumed tht the money went all in pre ( I pot committed myself, had 110 or so and i put 65k or so pre....1st move I made in a long time, felt like I needed to chip up, sigh!). After busting I went immediately and shook hands with the villian(jking) Jason Holbrook, he is an inspiration to us all, depsite being blind he not only played superb but carried himself very well too. Its not easy to be sorrounded by so much media attention and distractions, people get easily carried away as they try to put up a show to get endorsements and other incentives but he was nothing less of class and it was very evident that all he wanted to do was play poker...It was an honor playing with him.

I am back in India now and the plan is to play as much poker as possible for the next 2mnths. I am being guided by one of the top online players, basically I am gonna become a complete siko soon, feels its been forever since I won something, ahhhhh. I hv 11 weeks of college left and will be returning to the US on sep 21st.....I made a big decision during the wsop, I love poker and am relatively good at it, so I hv decided tht I am turning pro once I am done with college....not sure how long i will be a pro for but I plan on giving it a decent run. WSOP was just amazing experience and it gave me the confidence tht I needed. It was just awesome to meet my peers and get all the respect and encouragement during the series. I feel the next few mnths are gonna be life changing....Just hv a feeling something good as is going to happen.

Shud be fun, but watever happens happens, my goal is to make it past day 2 and atleast play day 3, but if I dont its no big deal....Life is good :)

last few weeks

Hvnt posted much recently since its been very depressing and brutal.
I hv bubbled all the live tournies for the wsop, that is after playing 9-10 hrs of grinding live poker. I had good opportunities in many tournies but I keep getting ul for monster pots...ah well. Online been pretty brutal too....means I cant even imagine how I can run so bad, for eg I lost 2 wsop HU seats in the last 2 double shooouts heads up (sick beats both times), winner got a seat (basically 11k) and 2nd got 360$, basically 11k bad beats each time. Just not this but even on all sites I hv been running terrible...sigh! Its been bad...ahh
Good news is its not as bad as it sounds...I like to whine :) I am still pretty ok BR wise and even though there has been a dent its still early to set alarms off...I am going to hv to grind however when I get back to India (grinding is obv the most fun thing in the world)
I am going to be playing the big tournies online till the Main event starts, might play some super satellites and try and recover some money...its funny since even if I hit something medium size I break even for the trip....just seems so ddifcult to win...ahh one time in the main event pleeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaseeeeeeeeeeeeee

In a cold streak right now, had few good opportunities yesterday in the 1500 but as usual no cards and no luck, the structure is so bad in the 1500$ events I dont think I am going to play the one on Saturday(much rather play online). So my next event will be on Thursday the 5k short handed event. I loved the last 6 handed one since we saw mny more hands than we do on a full table and there was much more post flop play than usual which is my strong my point. I had Ram Wasvani to my left and although like many I dont hv much respect for the pros, but whichever pro I have played with in wsop has just played close to flawless in my opinion (played with mimmi tran, boatman, minh the master and few others) and Ram was by far the best. He was to my left but I definitely held my own, I see no reason why I shudnt do well in the 5k event.
Will be playing a lot online and try and recover the losses from Vegas, besides poker I hv been hving some fun too and as eveyrone knows Vegas aint cheap. Went to rhino with bunch of frnds last ngiht.....tht place is always fun :)

Playing the 2500$ 6 handed tourny today

I tried...

I folded the first orbit and then shoved for 18.5k at 1k-2k level with 300 ante only to be isolated by a 30k stack with A9, I had my cursed hand of KJ (3/4 for elimination with this hand at wsop)..I balnked, gg 116th which paid 4123$. Ahh atleast I cashed.
Today is the 3k event and I feel I am in good rhythm for wsop, gonna try and atelast make it to day 2, thts my goal number 1 for today's tourny.

quick update

There are 135 players left in the 2k event, 1600ish started adn they paid 153 so I am already in the money. It was gruelling 12 hrs and there are lot of interesting hands I will talk about but not right now. I am shortstacked with 24.5k avg is 46k and blinds are at 1k-2k with 300 ante. Going back in few hrs to try and make a deep run at this one.

Going to bed soon, feeling good and want to get enough rest before the event tomorrow.
No luck online today in tournaments but I played some cash at bodog and made 3 and half buy ins at 5-10, its been a long time since I dabbled in cash but I really need to play them and sngs to try and recover some Vegas expenses.

12hrs of poker and no $

The 5k event got 631 players...this was a god event and we started with 10k chips. I liked my starting table, it was very aggressive and I decided to pace myself. I played veyr solid for the most part, but then I switched it up a bit and raised few hands in a row and was able to take down few pots without much resistance. I ended level 2 (each level was 1 hr) with 12k. I was upto 17k by level 4 and thts when I got moved to a very tough table. I lost a big pot to my frnd deeznutz when he rivered his 3 outer on me but I was still comofrtable at 9kish at 200-400 level. I got my dbl up in the 300-600 level when I defnded my bb with A8s, flop came 8 4s 6s and we got it allin on the turn when 4d came, he had 55 (ty sir). I was upto 18k and started playing more aggressive, I made a good semi bluff with QK on T J 3 board and was able to 3 barrel a weak player to pick up another big pot. At dinner break I was crusing at 30k with a lot of play left. Basically I was card dead and didnt pick up anything for the longest time, but I used my image well and always had enuf chips to not got desperate. We were down 130ish people 63 paid (money bubble was 11ksih...11k is a lot of money) and I was honestly trying to make it. I opened pot for 3700 utg with KJo (600-1200 100 ante) and BB was the only caller. FLop came K 5d 8d and he instantly led out 4500 I pushed for 22k or so more and after thinking forever he called with A4d (for his tourny life..but I dont mind tht call, if u feel like gambling please do it...I always do tht) only to river the 9d for almost 65kish pot when avg was 38k..tht along with money bubble approaching I cud hv done damage...but 12 hrs of poker and no cash isnt tht bad, atleast I played well. I am down quite a bit now this trip and its time to grind, but Ihv my confidence back to play live so thts a god thing, playing the 2k tomorrow and playing online all day today.
O ranked 37th now :)

1k was bad, I played alright and was excited to be at the table, but just got coolered with 67 on a 589 flop, turn 9....I lost 7500 of my starting 10k stacks, it was wrong and I shud hv gotten away, but the guy played it real weak and I was making value bets and he just called me down....so weak.
After chillin at the Venetian I came back just in time for 100r and 200r at Pokerstars (played bad...was rusty), played 150 at FT AK vs KK pretty early though and finally 500 UB, which I just simply ran over. Shippage! took 1st for little over 20k. Now I feel better about all the buy ins lately. Confidence back, watch out wsop.....

Friday: Landed around 10 pm local time, went to the house dropped off my luggage and then took a cab to the Emergency Room (The cut from my hand had gotten infected and was paining like a bitch...why do I do crazy things when I am drunk?), thankfully there wasnt a long wait and the doctors and nurses there were amazing, I usually hate hospital staff. I had to take tetnis shot and some medicines after they cleared the wound and I was ready to go. Next stop was the Rio, I was hoping to register for the 1500 event on Sarurday, but the line was plain out insane. Anyways I hungout there for a while and then headed back to the house. I was really beat, but I still chilled with my roommates before finally passing out.

Saturday: We woke up early in a bid to reach the Rio and sign up for the event, again the line was just too brutal, so instead we headed to the Venetian to play the 500$ deepstack. No luck there for me QQ vs AA, after that I came to the Rio to sweat some frnds. In the smaller tourny room I saw Imperium at the side table, I went over and introduced myself. He was shortstacked and told me to sit behind him till someone comes and tells me to leave. It was fun watching him play, although it didnt last long the play he made was just str8 out sick. John Pham raised cut off to 600 (100-200), button repopped to 1800, Imperium with his 2600 stack just flat called...yes, just flat called, John Pham seemed a little confused but he finally called the 1200 more. Flop was K 9 3, Imperium leeds out 475 leaving himself 400 or so chips. John Pham starts scratching his head and says that he is very confused and doesnt know wat to do, he finally mucks, button pushes imperium all in and shows 79 only to hit runner runner boat. After that we went and had buffet lunch, on our way there I met number of online pros-DRY, asiandude77 and few others. After lunch I headed back to the venetian to sweat some frnds, I played a 240$ sng but lost 44 vs JQs with 5 left. I was pretty tired by now and a little drunk too, after just hanging out there for couple of more hrs we headed back to the house, where I just passed out and had solid 8-9 hrs of sleep...ah I feel so good today.

Sunday: They hv a limit event at the wsop, I hate limit so instead I am going to the Ventian to play the 1k, it shud be a huge field and 1st place will be close to 150k, yum yum. Hopefully I can make a deep run in it, if I make the final table I will miss the 2.5k event tomorrow since the final table is next day, but if not I will be playing the event tomorrow, no matter how big the sign up line is.

Took my frnds out for dinner, there were 9 of us and we went to a this mexican place called El Vez. We started off with few pitchers of margarita and in few hrs all of us were hammered. I was so drunk that I made a prop bet with my frnd, the bet was who can chug his drink faster, in my baller style I put up 20$ and he put his t-shirt on the line. I won the bet and took my frnds t-shirt and starting running, its been a long time since I ran, I was very drunk and was running so fast that I fell and skidded 3 feet, no major harm though just some bruises here and there. The damage for the night was 500$, this was long overdue, I remember the time when I wud win 10k tourny and take everyone out and now after winning quite a few 10k tournies I hadnt treated them in a long time, I hv been a bit of a NIT and unsocial recently, but yesterday I was ready to go out and hv some fun. Break from online poker is really doing me good.
Partied continued at my place till 2 (I hadnt packed or done anything for my flight tomorrow) since I was planning to wake up at 9. I woke with the worst hangover ever with my head spinning out of control, I thought about it and decided maybe its best if I took a later flight. Booked my ticket for the 5:45 flight and got back in bed. This is the 2nd time this yr that I hv missed my flight...not proud of it, no more early morning flights :)

My goals for wsop..

Its time. As most of u know I am leaving for Vegas tomorrow, this will be my 2nd yr in WSOP (last yr I won my seat to the Main Event on bodog and went out there for 2 weeks). Last yr it was brutal, not only did I spend a large part of my BR, I also played very poorly and let people run me over. This yr its different, I am more experienced and a much stronger player (believe me, I am gonna be doing all the running over on my table), this yr I actually hv some goals for the wsop whereas last yr I went mostly for the experience with little knowledge of what to expect.
My goals this yr:
I am taking 40k to Vegas, this is my budget for my entire trip till I leave for India. This 40k includes buy ins, rent, food and entertainment expenses. My goal is to play all the remaining NL holdem events with the exception of the heads up event(I am 15k short imo to play all the events, so I wud hv to make some money on the side to play all). Besides playing all events I am also trying to break even for the trip, as in I wud be on cloud 9 if I can actually hv 40k cash at the end of the trip. Besdies this I want to cash in atleast 33% of the tournies I will be playing.
40k is a juicy part of my BR, but if I loose it, I will still be comfortable to play the limits I have been playing, my BR is at its all time highest and 40k is sip but not a very steep one. I have also recently put away a decent chunk of my recent winnings and have left myself 35k to play with online. One of the reasons I just left 35k online was that I dont intend t play a lot online in the coming weeks, although when I go back to India I will be on the online tournament circuit again. I hv come to terms with the fact that as a result of not playing online extensively in the coming weeks my ranking will drop, I have been climbing steadily and am at my all time best of 45th,

I will work extra hard during the summer and bumb it up again, but for now I dont think I am going to be mentioned in the rankings update for a while...its time for me to go and pwn live poker, although I will play online every now and then.

The meeting with the ISSO went as smooth as I cud hv hoped for, they signed all the required forms and now I am free for the summer.
Phew thats a huge load of my mind, I was close to flipping out pretty bad last night, there is no way I wud hv survived another 11 weeks of school. I really do need a change from the routine life I am stuck in at present, so on hearing tht I might not be able to goto Vegas and then India, I was definitely getting a little paranoid.

This officially sucks-
Today I went to the ISS0 (Internation student office) to get my I-20 signed, its pretty routine, but I was informed that since my I-20 expires at the end of the summer, I am not eligible for taking summer off. The plan was to take summer off and come back for graduation in fall term. WTF hmmmmmmn,I hv an appointment with them tomorrow and hopefully there is a way I can get out of taking classes during summer, if not I will be running back and forth from Vegas because there is no fucking way I am missing the WFSOP!
Other than that, I feel a little bit of burnout, there is abolsutely no excitement or drive in me as I sit and play these online tournies...I am obv excited about vegas and wsop but think I am tired of online poker, its time, I took some time off and enjoy all the money I hv earned during the past few mnths :)

Big Sunday

Yesterday I played a whole bunch of tounries and had decent success in few of them.
I started by taking 7th in the big afternoon 100R (44 vs 55), I shud hv folded my 44 but I had folded tht hand a few hands before when if I hadnt, I wud hv trippled up, tht and being severely shortstacked I became stubborn with the muppet pair. Ah well hopefully I will learn from this. 7th was good for 3k sth.
I was running over UB and was CL for most part of the tournament, I was running real good, tht was right till we got very deep, thts when things starting going bad. Everytime I opened the pot someone came over the top of me...it was brutal, after bleeding off a lot of chips I decided to make a stand, once again with 44 (this was different situation than the 100r) and this time I was called by AT....no luck in tht race gg for 18th, payout was 1200. THis was veyr frustrating, since I was really looking forward to final tabling a major.
I was deep in FT 400k too, again a big field tourny and after 5 hrs deep I got faked, when KT shoved for 10 bb from mid position and then another guy tried isolating with ATc on the button, I woke up with KK in bb and called, it was a monster pot and I was screwed when the flop came A T 3, I was drawing to 1 out. I somehow rallied back to avg stack and got it all in with my 33 vs AQ, big pot again and again I didnt hv any luck in tht flip. If I win tht flop I cud hv run over the table and given myself a realistic chance of going deeeep.
But, in my last tourny of the night I was able to chop the 100r 3 ways for 32.5k,I had a decent chip lead 3 handed and despite 1st being 41k I felt it was a good chop since I am looking for some Vegas money and by no means I had an edge 3 handed with those players(gboro and brsavage, very good players). I ran like god in tht tourny, I feel embarassed to mention how mny times I sucked out....means I just cudnt loose.
My boy had 20% swap with me so in the end I made 25kish net profit after deducting his 20% and all the buy ins, for ocne not a bad Sunday, infact a very good one :)
I am now well set up for Vegas, in the sense I am mentally prepared to loose watever loot I am taking there, I am not pushing my BR and even if I dont cash in anything it wont hurt me at all (I wont hv to drop down in limits). The plan is to play online tonight and tomorrow and then take sometime off before I goto Vegas. I hv lot of plans and goals for the summer which I will write in another post.

Yesterday was fun, played well and did well too, although as always it could have been better. Took 2nd FT 100r and 7th in the afternoon PS 100r and 17th in the evening 100r (lost AK vs QQ for CL pot)
Today I am playing almost all the majors, not sure wat else I will be playing.
Also my boy Toetagu (ryan) is 3rd in chips coming into day 2 of the 1500$ event....get em Ryan.

Big weekend...

Yesterday I had gr8 opportunity to win the 20r (1st was 7k ish), I was big CL for most of the tourny and was playing gr8, this was till I doubled the guy 3rd in chips for a 800k pot, AKc vs TT all in pre, was such a tease too since it flopped 2 clubs. I was able to get back to a decent stack again but then I lost 44 vs the same guys A5 for a decent pot, flop was A 4 3 all in pre but he able to river a 2 on me to knock me out in 10th place.

No Deal

I was offered a backing deal and after much negotiation the final terms of the deal were- Complete backing for both live and online poker (this includes all wsop events adding up to almost 40k+) at 40-60 with upgrade after a month to 50-50 with make up throughout, with me having the option to quit if I am in green after 8 months or buying out my make up at that point. 8 months is a long commitment, I am not good with commitments, hvnt had one in a long time, this had me nervous and scared. The other thing was I wud be playing for 50% of my online action for the next 8mnths, I am kind of person who doesn't even look at 2nd price in most tourneys I play....being backed, that Cherry on top wud be much smaller, that really kills my motivation. Thirdly I won the 150 FO at FT last night (well chopped it) for 14.6k, this gets me borderline comfortable for wsop, in a sense I can afford it. So in the end after much deliberation and discussion I rejected the deal....50% was far too much for such a big winner online like me to part with. I do appreciate the 2 phenoms who offered me this deal and will be open to future offers....one of the reason why I wanted to take the deal was, that these 2 players are truly good people and legends in online poker and there was much I could learn from then....hopefully I hv made the right decsion.

Like I said earlier I took down the 150 at FT but overall I did good in other tournies I played as well. Cashed in 100r (made a donk resteal), 150 FO at PS (missed a royal str8 flush draw) and as u guys must hv seen lost a sick pot in the 1k. But for the 1k I had 500$ Lastlonger with 7 other people(all of them online phenoms), which suprisingly despite coming 75th in the relatively small field I won, so that was another 3500$ there.
All in all a good after a quite a while...

Yesterday was horrible, for a change I played a very patient game for the most part in the big majors. It was just a combination of bad timings and coolers that got me knocked out in most tournies. I was playing my A+ game in the 100r in the afternoon and 2nd chance and million...but I just kept getting coolered. It was expensive as most Sundays are-6k. There is one Saunday left before I head to Vegas for the wsop and I can just pray that I dont hv another one of those Saundays again, come to think of it I am actually stuck around 20k in sunday buyins this mnth (yikes!!).
There is some good news, I hv been offered a life changing deal, I am pondering whethere to take it or not...its a 1 yr deal and its really really tough. Far too close for me to decide. Ahhh, will hv to soon though.
There are some non poker things bugging me as well....hopefully they are all setlled.

I am up early to get into a good frame of mind and focus for the long day ahead. I avoided alcohol last night since for the last 2 Sundays I have been suffering from slight hangovers which have affected my play a bit. Today, however I am in prime shape (beside for the pain in my lower back....must go to a orthopedic this week) and feel good about my prospects today.

Had few good opportunites today, but no luck asual. Was deep in the FT 300$ 6 handed but got sick 2 outered to end up 34th, if I won tht pot I wud be 2nd in chips :( . Then I got ul in the PS 100 FO and the FT 100r (finally a good rebuy on tht site on a weekly basis) and to end the day I came 6th in FT 100$ 50k gtd. I completely dominated this tourny adn was playing vgood, but on the FT I lost AQ vs AT and then 66 vs AJ...ugh!

Yesterday afternoon I got a call from my cousin sisiter and on her insisting I decided to goto NY last night itself. My cousin brother is on vacation in the US (he has been travelling all over the US with his family for the last mnth) and is making this final stop in NJ (where my cousin sister and his own sister lives). The plan was to meet him and his wife in NY and then head to NJ later in the night.
I took the evening amtrak (veyr comfortable=very expensive) and reached NY around 8. It was hot, humid and noisy, just the way I like it and for a moment it felt to me like I was in Calcutta. I walked around for 20 mins and was really amazed at the skyscrapers (I know how I sound...lol). I met up with my cousin brother in Ethiopian reseruant somehwere close to time square. They were four of us, and the general talk was as expected centred around what am I going to do after graduation. My brother is well travelled and has a succesfful business, his suggestion was that I finish my MBA before coming back to India. To make things worse, his other cousin who works in NY was the 4th person in the group, she is an Harvard MBA and is working for top investment fund. She was however every intrigued with poker (she had a partypoker acct back in the day with sn littleg, though she played only play money tables) and the fact that I was taking time off from school to go and play the wsop...my brother and sister in law and had a look of wtf r u talking about....lol. Dinner was so so...but after tht we went to Time Square and tht was truly wonderful, I actually saw a number of rickshaws WOW didnt know they had those in the US. We walked around tht area for a while before heading to my cousin's cousin (ugh, forgot her name) manhattan penthouse on the 30th floor with a sick KILLER VIEW of the city. There we had some coffee before going to train station and taking the train back to NJ.
Today been mostly boring, not much going on besides me wrestling with my nephews (there are 4 of them), we went to see Pirates of carribean in the morning and after tht I hv just been chillin. There are plans to go out later tonight, but not sure if thts gonna happen...I shud be back for the weekends tomorrow though...man I need to play poker!

No luck yesterday, was kinda tired and uninterested and yet I played. I was doing decent in 50r but lost numerous showdowns (was CL with 50 left and still got booted 40th)
Today I am playing 100r, 50r, 100r and 300 at stars and the 2 150's at FT.
I am well rested today (had 8hrs of sleep in a long time...man I hate college) and hv no errands to run, so I shud be able to focus a bit better today. I am still looking for a few more hits....I really want to make tht 40k :)

No poker tomororw and day after....tomorrow I hv a quiz and then group meeting (waste of time...but wat to do) and early friday morning I am going to New York to spend a day with my cousin siter from Jersey and my cousin brother who is visiting with his family from India. I hv never been to NY so I am kinda excited, besides I do feel I need a break and it always good to meet family. Althoguh I know I am going to be targeted with same old questions as always-when r u graduating? what r u going to o after tht ? Why arent u looking for a job? what is this poker? and then the looks of dissaproval in them....but u know wat, I love them for this. The only reason my whole family is taking my case is because they love me and I love them for doing tht, but till my parents are OK with me playing I aint gonna stop.

I believe the p5 rankings will be updated today, I hv increased my plb from 3775 to 4300 which is really a good week. I also hope tht people hv moved me up in the pro poll, a lot of people hv taken notice of my recent success, althought I hv been doing good for yrs but this has been by far the most impressive run for me in MTT's. This is actually the first time since dise shut down I hv had the money to play everything I want...hving low BR and being the sensible and responsible person I am :) I hadnt played many tournies till March...actually I was looking to get backed in Feb and spoke to one of the legends and biggest backer in online poker today, but I didnt get a call back from him and thts when my rush began. The weekend I spoke to him I took 2nd in the PS 2nd chance tourny for 26k and hv not looked back since then. So I guess people with unreturned phone calls and unaswered pms do just fine :)

WSOP

In my last post was the schdeule and now some thoughts on it:
Well I want to play all NL events or atleast as many as I can.
From the schdeule its 15 events of which 13 prelims add upto 31k, then there is the 1k rebuy (weeeeeeee....well :( if I go broke rebuying) and the 10k main event. Original plan was to take 30k to wsop but looking at the schdule now I think I better take close to 40k. If i get one big win I will take 60k to be comfortable (u live once and who knows if I will get to do this ever again)
Besides these events there is the bellagio cup, which I may or may not play...depends on a lot of things. Then there are the living expenses (rent, food, wanna be balla lifestyle expenses) these add up to 8-10kfor the mnth (very expensive once u leave home...I am assuming 100$ on food and stuff everyday so for 45 days its gonna be 5k plus rent)
If I make 25k by the time I leave I shud be comfrtoable....anything more will be a bonus, obv this will be a big chunk of my BR but by no means all of it (far from it infact)

Was satisfying, but I missed out on the 75k 1st prize in the FTOP event....ended 31st there after being CL for most part. One bad read really costed me the tourny...ah well hopefully none of tht if deep in anything today.

Lot of good value tournies today and I do feel some exciement of the numerous opportunities I hv today and tomorrow of getting a big score.

I hv also been trying to boost my plb score to climb up the rankings....my goal is to reach 5k before I leave for vegas, I am around 4k now so I need to increase by 25%, one big hit and I am there though.

Yesterday was frustrating...had a nice stack but got fucked in the end for 13th in 100R (qq vs A9 and before tht a sick river)...ugh, ended the day a bit down but mainly because of the horrid plays made by me in the afternoon, definitely more focussed and more rested today....gonna be a long day

Good Day..

Played some gr8 poker whole of yesterday....14th in FT 150 in the afternoon (lost monster CL pot with KK vs AA at tht point to become super shortstack and battle for a while before pushing 88 with less than 3 bbs and running into JJ), took 4th in stars 55r (lost 99 vs A5...I raised button and guy tried restealing, obv flop 5 5 2 for monster pot) atleast this time I got 4k for my 4th place finish and finally came 3rd in 100R for 9,660 (Just card dead towards the end...but I ran real goooooot for most part in this one)
The new rankings update article(on p5.com) had this to say about me:

plans for mnth..

Mixed results so far this mnth....some tournies I hv played good and done well, but for the majority I hv been donking and wasting a lot of money in the big rebuys and bigger buy ins. I am up around 12k this mnth (I had two wins of 16k each) and the plan is to end the mnth with 45-50k profit. Meaning I hv to make around 38k more this mnth. I feel my tourny game is coming around pretty well and its matter of time before I win another big tourny, another win wud get me str8 for reaching my goal. Dont think I will be playing today, but tomorrow is a good line up again.
Another thing I am excited about is getting ranked at cardplayer.com and pocketfives.com, I hv been trying for a longtime to get ranked at p5.com and feel tht I will be able to accomplish this by mnth end. I hv 3600 tlb points and need around 4-4.5k to seal my position on the ranking leaderboards.

3rd in bodog 100k, which broke me even for the day, but it was dissapointing overall. I played bad in the big rebuys which costed me, this is one of my big leaks, which I shud look to plug soon. I played pretty well in the FT big one, but obv no luck there....lost all 40-60 and 50-50 and finally got eliminated in 137th QQ vs AK for mny chips...2nd time in 3 days I hv been deep in big field tourny at FT. With the Main event(500 buy in....gonna be a sick field) of FTOP on Sunday I am considering not going to borgata for the 1k and focussing online...I hv made top 5% in fields of 2300 and 2900 twice in 3 days in the FTOP events...I feel its matter of time before I go all way, besides it wud suck if I got eliminated early in the 1k and am stuck in AC missing all the action online....guess I will wait till Vegas before I go nuts playing live.
Tonight is my favorite tourny...1k FTOP event 4, shud be around 75k for 1st....boy I am pumped for this one...barring any bad beats I shud do well in this one :)

no poker this weekend

Yesterday I made a real short trip to AC for the weekly fri tourny at borgata.
2nd orbit I got 79c and saw a raised flop 3 ways, flop came Kc 4c 3c, I check raised and eventually got it all in on the flop.....guy turned over 2 red KK, turn was 3 and I was done.
Didnt play much yesterday, went out heavy drinking with my frnds....still feeling the effects of tht today...ugh (I hate hangovers)
I am off to New Jersey for the weekend, I am pretty sure I wont be able to come back before Sunday late night, so there goes all the sunday tournies for mee (weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee)

Trying to play better

Feels like I hv lost my magic touch, going to play tournies today and tomorrow and try and get some rhythm. Going to AC this friday for sure, since I need to go and pick up some cash from a frnd there. I will do end of mtnh analysis and plans for the summer once we decide on our house (we r still close to getting it, but small onbstacles keep popping up)

Easing up on the ring

Been tough the game at bodog last few days....seems a big onflux of some real good solid players. I usually do well against solid players but not these ones....not being able to hit draws or win flips hv also added to the cause, but I hv made some bad calls and bad shoves as well. I decided to cashout and take sometime off from the cash games there, everytime I take a break and play cash I do well. Also, since I am cashing out a big portion of my BR, I will need a new plan to try and regain some lost ground.

This is the analysis from bodog:
Played 7 days and made a net profit of 9241$.....before the downswing it was more like 17k, sucks loosing half the profits, but still not a bad overall result there.

Today I am playing the nightly tournies, just 3 of them and I really hope I play well. I dont care if I win or loose, I just want to hv my solid steady tourny game back.
Tomorrow will be end of mnth analysis, if dont cash in anythign today it will be around 45k net profit for the mnth (I cancel out quite a few expenses from my profit....so I actually made 50k or little below tht, this mnth). Had a rocky start to the mnth but then in 2 days I made 71k...so really, I shud hv made something like 75k, still need to plug some of my leeks.
I am also thinking of coming up with a plan for building my 30k roll, so tht I hv enough for the wsop. I am thinking something in the lines of keeping a BR of 10k for ring games and another 10k for tournies and hving 10k as back up. Not sure wat I will decide on, but I will definitely think it all out tomorrow and come up with a solid plan. If I dont do well today I might just take the week off....no point pushing ur luck or playing when u feel u r not playing ur A game...Breaks are always good.

Sucky..

Horrid day, just falt out played bad. Overplayed every hand, hate it when I do tht. So pissed at myself. I better get my shit together for sundays....its turning into quite a disaster. To make things worse I donked off 4k of my 7k profit in the ring games today....still up 1.4k but was up huge. Frustrating, although I was tired and kinda hungover from last night. But no excuses for such a dismissal showing.

Grindin..

Thursday night I went out drinkin with some frnds and got really wasted. Friday, I went to CC and got a hair cut and did little shopping.....dont hv any clean clothes and the cleaners dont do any laundry......it takes a lot for me to finally get motivated to do my laundry and I dont tht kind of movtivastion is gonna come anytime soon, so for hygenic reasons I needed some new clothes (I know I am very lazy!)
O, I played some small sessions of 5-10 too.....ring games are seriously sick, means getting stuck 2-3k is normal, loosing big pots is normal too, but I know I hv an edge in tht game so I have take all the swings in my stride. I did win my biggest pot at 5-10 ever, it was sb vs bb, I raised to 30 from sb and bb called. Both of us were playing super aggro and had stacks of 2460 and 3500 respectively. Flop came 5s 9s Kd, I led out 60 (pot bet) and he made it around 220, I flat called him (didnt give him much respect at this time for a real hand), turn was a Ah and I led out again for 222 and he instant shoved on me....easy call, he flipped 67s for flsuh draw and gut shot str8 draw, making me 4-1 favorite to win....he missed his draw and gave me my biggest pot at 5-10 :)
Overall I am up more than 10k, but the game at times is pretty tough. Many sharks in tht game and its best to choose the people u want to go to war with carefully.
Today its gonna me mostly 5-10 and the absolute 150k gaurantee (hvnt played a tourny for a while) will be playing all tournies tomorrow (Sunday donations as usual). Although I plan to change my usual line up in a bid to save some money.

5-10 session

Trying to stick to my plan of playing smaller but more frequent session at 5-10. I am up a fair amt there now, although the players I hv been playing there hv been pretty decent. I was on my game today, was just outhinking them......got to love deepstacked poker (almost everyone had full buy in at the table which gives more than 100bbs and allows a lot of play). Imagination is the key to success in ring games and I was just on it today.
Played the 300$ big tourny at PS and completely donked it. I am in no mindset to play tournaments and am trying to hold out till Sunday. There is a lot of focus and energy required for tournaments and I just dont feel tht I am upto it at present. For now I think I will be playing just be playing tournaments on sudnay and monday, maybe saturdays if I feel like it (gr8 value absolute poker tourny) and this I will do for most part of next mnth as well. Many of the top online pros are conflicted with my playing style, many of them hv said tht when I play my best I am really really good but most of the times I am a donk...which is kinda true, trying to solve this by playing more selectively till the wsop.
Classes hv been going well this term as well, as a matter of fact I hvnt missed a class this week and hv been upto date on all the assignements, homework and quizzes. Doing well academically makes me feel good about myself, although its tough with numerous distractions I have. Its a good life, but not an easy one.
O, I got my apt cleaned today.....man it feels goood to live in a clean enviroment once again :)
Also, I would like to give a shoutout to my boy imperium (sorel mizzi), he is top 3 in chips with 27 left in the wpt championship (1st is just a few million....think he is already gauranteed 100k$)....he is one of the true superstars and one of the most down to earth people u can ever interact with. I hv learned a lot , from just talking about the game and watching him play, it will be awesome to see him take tht bitch down. Go Impyyyy!

Confused!

I am on a break from tournaments but not from poker :)
After much contemplation I decided to play 5-10NL ring game at bodog.....not sure if its a good idea since the last time I played there I lost 9k in like 2 days....I am however up 25k in tht game overall despite the brutality of those 2 days. Obv I need to stay disciplined, I will admit tht there is 1 guy in tht gme who really holds over me. To make good money I must really avoid playing him (the fucker always calls my bluffs), must put the ego aside. I was up 2k today but then went and dropped 1700 in the last session.I did miss three flush draws,each of them were for over 1k in pot size, so tht set me down a bit. I did play a bit sloppy as well, so really cant blame all of it on luck.
Since I am living in a pig sty again, I am hving the cleaners come again tomorrow, a cleaner enviroment did wonders for me last time....might hit the nightly tournies tomrrow to see if it works again.
Summer plans are shaping are pretty well, the plan is to spend a mnth in vegas for the series (will miss first 2 weeks of wsop because of college crap but will be there for the last 4 weeks of it),then travel to Europe for 2 weeks (want to visit Amsterdamn, London, Paris and Sweden....been saving my fpp points at PS so tht I can use them to buy hotel credit value of 1k$) and spend the remainder of the summer in India. Ofcourse I need to comeback in fall to Philly for my graduation (hate college). This is all very tentative, but wheels are already in motion and we r close to closing on the house in vegas fo the summer ( we r renting it for 6 weeks begining June 1st, thts when the wsop starts). Still a long time is left, but I really like planning things out ahead of time....hopefully within the next 2 weeks I will be to finalise my summer plans, at that time I will be also able to anazlyse my finances a bit better too, the last few weeks hv been pretty insane with all the confusion with cashouts, backing and gazillions tournaments, I hv been, in all honesty, a bit lost and CONFUSED!

I hate loosing....played 10+ tournies yeserday and didnt even cash in one....as a matter of fact I dont think I went beyond the 3rd break in any....thts rough. I was playing mediocre (not bad...just not my best) and had a bunch of chips in few too but I kept getting 2 outered on river. It was tough, lost AK vs AK for big pot in 2nd chance, made some good calls but just cudnt win a flip. I hate sundayssss.
I am on a downsing...just 10k (sundays are expensive....think I am down 2k in backing too), nothing to really stress about but I hv decided to slowdown and work on my game. I need to get a slow gear, feel I am playing way too aggro at the moment. Playing so aggro actually has me tempted to go and destroy 5-10 at bodog....I am definitely considering tht option, need to recover tht 10 dimes.
Today I am playing the 1k and 150 at FT and the 100R and 150 at PS. For the rest of the week I will hardly play anything......feel like all I hv been doing is playing poker this term. Since the weather is so good, gonna spend sometime outside. Also this is midterm week, being my penultimate term I hv been slacking a bit, but gonna start studying for the 2 exams I hv this week. Although, I am taking a break from poker I will be going to AC on friday for the monkey fest tourny, need live tourny to tighten me upa bit (also need to pick up some money from a frnd there). Despite the dowswing I hope to end the mnth +65k, must tighten my leaks to achieve tht though.

Have been playing horrid last few days, think I hv been way too aggro and need to slowdown a bit. Plan today is to play just premium hands and to play position....nothing fancy for most part. I hvnt final tabled a major for a while, but more than doing tht I really want to win my seat to WSOP Main Event....I hv already spent 3600 (incl today) on qualifiers......time to win 1, last Sunday was bad....hopefully today will be better.

last few days

Been dissapointing these last few days. I hv been deep few times (24th in the PS 150 last night) but cant seem to close the deal....sucky. I bought into the 1k satellite to wsop at FT last ngiht and didnt much in it. As a reult of buying into some bigger buyins I am down a bit last few days, nothing much but still it wud be nice to get a win.

Monday...

No luck yesterday, the horsies played pretty bad and despite being in excellent position didnt make any real money.....same story with me today. Was playing absolutely gr8 and was running terrific as well, but I think I misread some situations. Got 4th in the 100R for 6k, I feel I cud hv done better though, really wanted to win :( right after my bust out (AQ vs AK) to finish the night I came 32nd at FT (27 got paid) the beat was brutal as usual, ATh pushed utg and I called with JJ....he hit his A on turn to knock me out....win th,t I hv an avg stack again. Very dissapointing especially since I had a good stack at FT and PS 150 buy ins and somehow managed to get knocked out 15-20 away from money in both. Ugh!!!!!!!
Overall I am ahead 3k or so today...which is good, but definitely need to slow things done from now on. Feel like I am being far too reckless in my playing style and spending and backing funds.
Not poker tomorrow...but will do all the tournies on Wed night.

I hate Sundayssssssss

Fakin BullShit, went on big tilt after I got fucked in the PS 100 again. Donked off few tournies rigth after but ran so bad it was scary. Missed open ended str8 flush draw...lost 3-4 coin flips in a row in the same tournament, didnt see one pocket pair or make 1 draw...ugh!!!!!
After recovering from tht tilt. I was lookin pretty good in the 750k, had worked up a big stack. With 305 left my QQ and AK ran into KK and AA (2nd one was on A high flop for monster chips)....got eliminated in 303rd place, 261 got paid and 1st was 159kkk.....was feelin something special in tht one, but not much I cud do on these two hands.....damn.
I am down to just the 500 tourny at UB and if I dont do well in this I will be stuck almost 5k for today....my personal record of money spend on tournies in a single day (ouch)....I am backing few guys(which actually took the buy in figure close to 5k....so not all of it was lost by me) so there is still some recovery hope, lets hope one of them wins something (2 horsies pretty deep in two tournies)

I am committed to playing 12 hr + of non stop multitabling poker today...I am switching off my phone and signing out of my IM's, feelin fresh and focussed, today might be the day I finally win a sunday major.

Went to AC today morning, the tourny was complete donk fest. Was out in 2 hrs (playing good but the monkeys kept getting lucky on me).My roommate and I began the day on the same table and witnessed some ridiculous poker we hv ever seen ,we hv seen prettttty bad poker but nothing compared to this. Such a nice tournythough, 30k for 1st each week, dont think I am ever gonna miss going down there from now on, most amatuers in this tourny than any other u will find. Since both of us were done by 2 we decided to take a cab back to Philly but the traffic was dead slow in the expressway, so , we decided to turn the cab around to goto the nearest train station. There we had to wiat 25 mins for the train which took another hr.....wat a waste of time. As a result of all this I am not playing any poker today since nothing seems to be workin my way, plan is to go out and get trashed and hv some fun!

Cashin Out

Decided to cashout 50k to my Dad. This still leaves me with a healthy BR, just about the right amt to hv me playin comfrtably and yet not careless. This wud be good for me since now I will know tht I hv a decent amt put away, just incase.
Today poker wise was pretty bad, didnt run good and played avg. Another win wud be real nice, maybe I will win a live tourny this weekend in AC. No online poker till Sunday,drinking day tomorrow and then AC on fri and sat

Finally opened an excel sheet for keepin accts this mnth. Seems I was down about 15k this mnth (actually more like 10-12k but with expenses its 15k), so the win takes me to +42.5k this mnth.
Its been a nice progression last 3 mnths:
Feb:+18k
March:+54k
April: 10 days in +42.5k
Now my only goals this mnth is to make 7.5k more to reach 50k profit and win a wsop package along with tht this mnth.

Not too goooood

This mnth keeps getting worse....yesterday was absolutely terrible, I cudnt hv run worse. I did not win one flip or make one freekin draw. I was playing good for a change but was so unbelievably card dead in everything. I ended up playing a 650$ wsop satellite and 100R( for 500 which is not tht expensive in these, but I hv banned myself from these for a very good reason and played it only on tilt). It was very frustrating.
I am down around 7-8k this mnth, will start keepin accts again, hv been a bit lazy so far but now I hv to buckle down.
Will be playing just in the evening today, think I will play the stars 100 and 150, FT 150 and will be trying to satellite into their Monday 1k tourny. Have cleaners coming in today too, hving my room cleaned might help me focus better, kinda a desperate at this stage. I am guessing the BR is down to 37-38k, not keeping accts does hv me lost a bit. Tomorrow I am gonna not play and instead try and figure out a plan...lets see how today goes.

AC trip

I hv been playing absolutely horrid online last few days....the whole enviroment is not very conducive for playing at present. I am literaly living in trash, thankfully I hv housecleaners coming in on Monday to clean the place up, I know, finally!
Last night, I went down to AC with a few frnds....it was quite randomn and unplanned. I am sick of loosing online this mnth (-4.5k), so was looking for a break anyways, when my frnds told me tht they were gonna drive down (hate the train ride) I decided to go mess around a little bit at 2-5 NL. The very first hand I got stacked for 500$, I had KQc and raised to 20 got 2 callers (first hand of newly started 2-5 Nl table, we were 5 handed tht time). Flop came K 4 6, I bet out 35 and got 1 caller, turn was a Q giving me top 2, I bet out 50 he raised to 100, I thought and pushed the remaining of my 500 stack and he called me with 44. No luck on river. Thts an ugly way to start off, but it was definitely going to be difficult getting away from top 2 on tht board and the hyper aggressive AC players I am used too.....anywyas I was able to recover when I hit a set of 3's against 2 opponents and then I made a small profit when I called a guy down with 44 on T J 6 3 8 board...for a 550$ pot, he had AQ, the exact hand I put him on. I left the table up 160$ and decided to play the biggest bingo tournament of them all-The midnight madness at the Taj (blinds increase every 12 mins). Its a 80$ buy in with 163 and u get 12k starting chips with decent INITIAL levels (man they go up very fast). I ran pretty god like, despite playing avg at very best. All my hands held up too and I was able to make the final table comfortably. The way I was running I felt like Jamie Gold III, 3rd since there was this other guy who ran like god, so he wud be Jamie Gold II. He took 6 people in 11 hands at the final table...sick. We ended HU and he took me out when I made a pretty weak call with mid pair against his top 2. Yuk, ah well atleast got 2.6k...not bad for 80$ investment, first was 4,987$, for which I could hv definitely tried harder. This put me to around -2k for the mnth....still very early in the mnth, so I am still hopeful to turn things around.
Today, I am taking a day off from poker...my room is too messy to sit here and play all night, planning to go out tonight and get shit faced drunk, then get a good night's sleep for big day tomorrow. Will be playing my best game tomorrow, lot of majors and lot of money is going to be out there and I definitely need to step up and play my A game. I hv been playing my C game for most part this mnth and I am not at all pleased with it. Hopefully tomorrow will be my day, if I do not win I atleast hope I play my best, kinds a depressing when u play like a donk and hv 2.5k in buy ins...

horrid last 2 days....played a few tournies and no luck as always....seems I get chips early and then just blow them...must stop tht. My FT and stars accounts has dwindled a bit, but I must plug my leaks and try and make up the amt lost so far this mnth which now might be around 5k...yuk

New mnth

Didnt play yesterday, wish I had done the same today. I played few tournies and misplayed mny hands. I was defnitely running pretty decent too, but obv no luck in the end. Bubbled the 1k which has teally pissed me off....damn fakin medium pairs, ah well -2k today. Still healthy BR though. Want to Make atleast 50k this mnth....cud hv done it today, sigh!!!

Back from Indiana

Just got back from Indiana...kinda missed my early morning flight and had to take a later flight (missed all the sunday tournies as well)......all in all the trip costed me 6k, made some of it up online....took 3rd in 6 handed 300 buy in at FT for 6.8k. Although I dont think I will ever goto Indiana ever again (might as well surrender then go and loose there....hott, inside joke)..but this trip was definitely a lot of fun, Steve (classyploppy) is beyond funny, tht guy is just sick fun.
I am ending the mnth up 54k this includes most of my expenses as well. My BR is around 46k...gonna take it to xxxx by end of this mnth.

Last day in Indiana

We went to downtown louisvile yeserday for some dinner and bar hoping...the restaurant where we had dinner was very classy, but the prawns which I ordered, didnt sit too well with my stomach. I had the worst stomach cramps ever and decided to come back to the hotel. I was throwing up till 6 in the morning before I finally got some sleep. I am much better now but I missed today's event. So I guess I wont be coming back with a ring, just 1 cash in 4 events......disgusting!
Will do end of mnth analysis tomorrow...was an amazing mnth before the end of mnth downswing. Still this has been the biggest mnth ever for me, will hv to think of wat goals I want to achieve next mnth as well.

Chillin in Indiana

300 event yeserday was beyond bad.....I dbled within first 15 mins and still didnt make it till the first break, I played pukishly bad and hv no one to blame for it but myself. It doesnt work too well if u r smokin and drinkin on no sleep till 4 AM and then you wake up feelin like shit. I was tired as hell, but thts no excuse for how bad I played.
Today in the 500 event, however, I played pretty good, except for some goofy hands which I hv to stop doing.....was idiotic how I gave away 1/3rd of my stack with junk...yuk! But I did grind a lot later on and just got ul. I called the cutoff shove with 99 from the button only to loose to his 3 outer river (he had Q8)....tht put me on shortstack and the one move I made all tourny had me drawing very slim (made a move with QK c/r allin on 3 6 3 flop, QQ called) ah well gg.
Tomorrow is the big 1k tourny, I feel good about it and hopefully I will atleast cash in it, although a win wud be real sweet, not for the money but just getting a wsop ring :)
This trip has been a lot of fun, I am here chillin with Micah, johnnygstacks and his boy Dan, all of them are real cool cats and its been a blast just chillin (seem to hv way too much free time....man so wanna survive till those dinner breaks).
I hv been playing some cash too, which has been beyond crazy, first day I made 6.5k and lost it all next day and then dropped another 4k but recovered 1.5k today....overall I am down 2k in cash at bodog this trip and 9k from my peak...ouch! Knew there wud be variance with my style but not this crazy...gonna try and grind it out though...there is no quitting in me. Indiana trip will cost me around 6k the way things are going...need to hit!
